Brief History

Introduction

It was year 1990 when the College of Computer Science – Manila started its operation headed by Mr. Jonathan Edward T. Dy as the Program Director   The College is offering Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Associate in Computer Science.  On its first year of operation the college have 2 Full time faculty members namely Mr. Joseph Albert Mazo and Marife Prospero and 2 Part-time faculty members namely Catherin Batin and Mr. Rabadan.    On its early operation, there are 5 sections in freshman, four of these are regular.  Two sections in the morning and 2 in the afternoon and the last one is an evening class for working students.  The college attracted many students until it become the most numbered college. 

      In year 1995
,  Mr. Dy appointed faculty assistants for the different CS branches of Perpetual System to meet the growing needs of the different branches.  Miss Anna Liza O. Ognita (Mrs. Villanueva at present), regular full-time faculty of Perpetual Biñan at the time was requested by Mr. Dy to be his faculty assistant in Manila.  Ms. Ognita leave Perpetual Biñan for Perpetual Manila.

Year 1998, when Mr. Dy decided to run his own school so the management promoted Mrs. Anna Liza O Villanueva as the Head of the Department.  It was on the same year, when Associate of Computer Science was renamed to Associate of Computer Technology and the curriculum of BS Computer Science was revised.

Year 2000, when Mrs. Villanueva decided not to run an office and be a full-time faculty member of the institution, Mrs. Rosalinda Geronimo was asked by the management to lead the College.  Year 2002, when Mr. Rayman Carasus was appointed as System Administrator of the College and able to developed the course BS Information Technology.

Year 2005, when Mr. Marmelo Abante, replaced Mrs. Geronimo as Dean, College of Computer Studies & MT. Presently, the college of computer studies offered four baccalaureate degree program and five vocational program
